Work experience - overview
We provide a health and safety assessment and approval service. There is a telephone helpline, message and email service available for all those who provide work, education and training for all students who undertake a work experience placement.

Our service
- A telephone helpline, message and email service available for work related learning.
- We have access to a database of 300 + locally based employers who have previously offered a work experience placement (N.B This is Herefordshire Council data and is updated regularly, Herefordshire Council do not authorise any copies of data to be held without their permission).
- Comprehensive health and safety checks for work experience placements
- Work place assessments of potential work experience placements to ensure employers comply with the latest Health and Safety legislation
- Advice and guidance from IOSH qualified members of staff who have worked with local schools to prepare students and support staff for the work experience programme
- Liaison with neighbouring local authorities regarding placements for Herefordshire students in other counties
- Ongoing support for schools and colleges, including training & access to guidance and paperwork
- Annual work experience review upon request.

Costs
The basic package price is £1,070 for up to 50 students accessing the scheme
Over and above the first 50 checks £19 per student applies
Bespoke packages are also available for all schools and colleges. Prices available on application.
