Offsite visits are mandatory across the curriculum. Schools must show that staff are trained in current standards of best practice and are meeting the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act.
We can offer the following training services:
Visit Training for senior management teams and governors
This enables SLT and governors to understand their role in off-site visits and to consider how establishments manage their staff and pupil safely.
Visit Leader Training for all staff who are involved in offsite visits
This training enables schools to fulfil their staff training obligations to meet current standards and national best practice. The training will consider what needs to be in place to run trips as well as a brief introduction to the Evolve system and writing risk assessments.
Educational Visits Coordinator Training
Please note the Local Authority recommends at least one Educational Visits Coordinator per 250 pupils. Schools signing up for the Evolve and Offsite Guidance SLA will receive a discount on Educational Visits Coordinator training.
