Offsite visits are mandatory across the curriculum. As part of staff CPD (continual professional development) schools must show that staff are trained in current standards of best practice and are meeting the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act.
We can offer the following training services:
Visit Emergency Training for senior management teams and school governors
This enables schools to demonstrate a direct structural link from pupil to governor and how establishments manage their staff and pupil safely.
Visit Leader Training for all staff who are involved in offsite visits
The course lasts for four hours and can be delivered as two twilight sessions or as part of an INSET day, as preferred. VLT training enables schools to fulfil their staff training obligations to meet current standards and national best practice. Individuals must repeat the training after three years.
Educational Visits Coordinator Training
Please note the Local Authority recommends at least one Educational Visits Coordinator per 250 pupils. Schools signing up for the Evolve and Offsite Guidance SLA will receive a discount on Educational Visits Coordinator training.
