English as an Additional Language - Overview
EAL services are purchased on a 'pay as you go' basis. No Service Level Agreement is required.
We aim to ensure the greatest impact on the greatest number of learners. The progress and attainment of EAL learners is a significant focus for Ofsted inspections and the team offers an initial audit of EAL performance and provision to all schools free of charge.
In addition, Local Authority maintained schools may receive initial assessments, YR observations and follow-up advisory and monitoring visits free of charge.
Accompanied learning walks with members of Senior Leadership Team to identify opportunities for language development in Quality First Teaching are also free of charge.
Other services may be bought in on a 'pay as you go' basis . No SLA is required.
