Behaviour support - overview
Twenty per cent of Herefordshire students are identified as having Specific Educational Needs (SEN). A growing proportion of this SEN population have behavioural, social and emotional difficulties. These Learning Support services will enable schools to manage these difficulties with greater understanding and confidence.

Behaviour Support Service
What the service can include:
- Individual and group interventions with pupils
- Advice to staff and parents
- Whole school INSET and development
- Staff support, CPD (continual professional development) and training
Our CPD courses are increasingly popular as cost effective ways of improving school capacity for managing pupil behaviour, enhancing shared working practices and staff confidence. Training can be delivered as bespoke INSET sessions over part or whole days, or as twilight staff development, as preferred. A range of courses is also available specifically designed for support staff. Training courses are based on strategies that are known to be effective and meet the current legislative framework.
The service will be delivered in partnership with your school, working to enhance the existing systems within the school or setting.
