Data Protection and Information Governance

What the service provides

We offer a number of services designed to meet the differing needs and budgets of education settings. We also offer group discounts for MATS and Federated schools and settings with in-house nurseries and preschools.

Package 1 - DPO and Information Governance Support

• A named Data Protection Officer who meets the legislative requirements
• Support and assistance with all things data protection including:
  o Policies and procedures
  o Data incident management
  o DPIA's advice and assistance
  o Liaison with the Information Commissioners Office
  o Annual gap analysis and review to inform action plan for ongoing data protection compliance and accountability.
  o Ongoing annual training for all staff and governors
  o Advice and support to complete the record of processing activities
  o Assistance with subject access requests, student education record requests (maintained schools) and other data subject rights requests
  o Provision of a raft of general templates (including policies, procedures, notices, guidance notes) and specific documents when required
• Support with Freedom of Information Act and Environmental Information Regulation compliance,
  requests, training and an FOI Toolkit for schools
• Advice and assistance in relation to records management, including records retention.

Price £5 per pupil on roll as at last census (MAT and federated group prices on application)

Package 2 - Information Governance Support

• Support provided to school / in-house DPO on all things data protection including
  o Advice on policies and procedures
  o Advice on data incident management
  o Advice DPIA
  o Provision of Annual gap analysis and review to inform action plan for ongoing data protection compliance and accountability.
  o Ongoing annual training for all staff and governors
  o Advice on completion the record of processing activities
  o Advice on subject access requests, student education record requests (maintained schools) and other data subject rights requests
